The pathway, stony and marshy, lay carpeted with generous offerings from a large African tulip tree (Rudrapalaash) towering above. Its fallen stems, leaves, and buds embedded in wet earth and camouflaged in browns, yet unmistakable. Dotting this canvas of mingling shades of brown, freshly-fallen flowers from the tree – like a sprinkle of spectacular orange-red trumpets – turned it into poetry. It was here that we took a pause to capture the extraordinary in the ordinary.
