About the Artwork

  • Artwork: Art Print on Archival Paper
  • Medium: Watercolor and ink on A5 sketchbook
  • Artwork Size: 5.8 x 8.3 inches

My sketchbook is a collection of watercolor and ink work focused on the beauty of the overlooked. I find that a place’s story is told better through its small things , quiet elements than its major landmarks. By gathering these fragments together on the page, I try to capture the unique spirit and charm of an environment. I often incorporate calligraphy into these spreads, using the flow of text to balance the composition and harmonize the visual element, similar approach was used in this artwork, not only focusing on one magnificent fish from aquarium, but also adding corals and other fish, giving them their respectable place.
