About the Artist
Smitha is a practicing artist and art educator. She is a graduate of the College of Fine Art, CKP, in Bangalore.
Smitha loves sketching and has maintained sketchbooks for over two decades. Her favourite activity is travelling to beaches, forests, and hills with an ever-present sketchbook at hand.

I painted this on-location to capture the lovely light one sunday morning at Cubbon Park. It was created during a Penciljam session in an A5 sketchbook, using gouache.
This Mango tree is set amidst the lush park. I have drawn and painted this a number of times. I love the benches on either side of it, and I never bore of the changes in light and foliage with every season.
The exhibited artwork is a high-quality art print on archival quality paper, since the original is within my sketchbook.
